I kept seeing all these patterns that I really liked, but was afraid to try to make them. I thought it would be difficult to learn on my own. I didn’t know what Entrelac was. Since then, I have found out what exactly Entrelac is. Entrelac is a technique used to create a textured pattern consisting of triangles, diamonds or blocks (rectangles or squares). This knitting technique produces a woven appearance fabric.
I finally decided to give it a try this past summer. I had some variegated yarn that I didn’t know what to make with it, so I decided to try my hand at Entrelac. I started off with an Entrelac Scarf by Allison LoCicero. It wasn’t so difficult. This scarf is going to be a present to a friend.
I think I got the hang of it and am ready to give another pattern a try. I don’t have much more to go to finish up this scarf. Maybe I’ll try the Wedding Entrelac Shrug or Quant (a headband) or a beret or fingerless mitts.
Back when I decide on the next Entrelac project.
